ugly hat

This is totally the ugliest baby hat I've ever made. It's the logo of the company where the dad works.


And here's my first attempt at cables. Not bad for making it up as I go along.

How many flower hats have I made? I need to find other embellishments for baby girl hats.

too busy crafting to take pictures

I seem to not be doing very well with taking pictures of my projects lately. But here's a couple I did for gifts around Christmas time.

Flower with swirly vine

I think this is the most popular design I've made. Everybody thinks they're adorable. This hat is done just in seed stitch.

Rebel Alliance

I knit in the round, except when I get to the design. Then I knit back and forth so I don't have to carry the red all the way around the hat. Reverse side of the design:

And I finally figured out how to get around sewing it together after I'm done. You can kind of see in this picture, I do a cable with just a single stitch while knitting back and forth.

B's birthday spider

On two separate occasions I asked what B wanted for his 4th birthday. Both times, he requested a "red spider, with a string attached, and an old wedding ring on the end of the string."

Huh? What an imagination this kid has.

Nobody has any idea where he came up with that, but here's my interpretation...
